With Marijuana Legalized, Drug Cartels will bring in harder drugs like Meth, Heroin, Ecstacy, Cocaine

Are the Legalizers aware that they are inviting harder drugs into society?

They might as well say: "Thank you Mexican and Columbian Cartels; we no longer require your services for Marijuana sales.  You can go away now.  Bye!" -- The D.E.A. statistics however show a different view on the 2008 factsheet (here)

Former U.S. Drug Czar, General Barry McCaffery:

Against Marijuana Legalization (MSNBC interview here)

Should Marijuana legalization for personal use become law, Mexican and Columbian cartels are going to keep selling marijuana to children as well as harder drugs.  They could lose some of the marijuana business they have been accustom to, but they have known all along that there are several other drug markets they can go into in case they lose some of their marijuana business. (Source on some of the variety of drugs Mexican cartels produce here and here )

Mexican and Columbian cartels also manufacture:

and also trade in pharmaceutical narcotics such as:

(source here)

To say that Mexican cartels are going away if we legalize marijuana is sheer lunacy.  Drug legalizes are aware that they can’t do anything about the cartels and even have plans to take away funding to fight the war on drugs.

We must keep the fight in the hands of law enforcement who knows the enemy south of the border better than anyone.

Rather than burdening law enforcement with more crime and killings as well as the escalation of the dealing of serious and dangerous hardcore drugs we must trust that we can stamp out drug addiction by educating our children about the dangers of drugs.

Who is going to run the new drug trade for the cartels?

With more than 2,500,000 undocumented illegal immigrants, some of whom run the underground drug trade in the State of California and 20,000,000 in the United States it will be drug trafficking “business as usual”-- only this time with harder drugs.

Will legalizing Marijuana place our National Security at risk?

We think so.

How will California defend itself against the enemy both foreign and domestic, in a newly intoxicated condition? - Not very well.

The Department of Homeland Security has the threat level in the airline sector set to level “Orange” or “High.”  The next threat level would be “Red” for “Severe.”  With marijuana legalization, drug paraphernalia would become yet another source of concern for airline security.  We cannot afford to be casual about many items, which are banned from being brought on a plane.  Drug paraphernalia would add a long list of items, which we must not be burdened with.  -
